The Vineyards and the Wines

The Vineyard of the firm have been carried out by means of terrace cropping on the two hills of the estate. On the historical hill, where the main house can be found, we have chosen to keep the plants that were already present on the estate when the firm was born, which date back to early 1800’s. Numerous Friulano and Merlot rows of vines are present here and are more than 160 years old. Nearly 40 years ago, the varieties of Refosco and Cabernet Franc were added. On the nearby hill, called “dei castagni” (“of the chestnuts”), which was purchased about 20 years ago, we have recently decided to take up a new adventure and that is the production of native red wine such as Schioppettino and Pignolo. We have also decided to plant Sauvignon vines in order to widen our range of white wines.

FRIULANO

Monovarietal wine.

Dry, elegant and full-bodied. It is surprising for its persistence and balanced acidity. Typical aromas of bitter almond and white flowers.

We carry out maceration on the skins for 2 to 8 days, depending on the ripeness of the grapes. Refined in steel barrels for about 24 months.

AUTOCHTHON WINE.
