Our story

On an antique scenic hill on the border of northeast Friuli, in the first half of 1800 the heart of our estate was already in existence. In 1868 the hill, its buildings, and fields were bought by Luigi Spezzotti, to whom the expansion of the manor and the adjacent rustic complex are due.
It was intended as a messuage for strictly family-run agricultural production and above all as a vacation and resting place. In the last few decades the house in Gagliano of Cividale has been restored by Luigi Spezzotti’s grandnephew, Giuliano Stroppolatini. Thanks to his passion and genuine affection for the estate, he has enhanced it by implementing the wine production, especially qualitatively, and creating the welcoming Bed&Breakfast and typical “frasca”(a traditional Friulian pub where you can taste the wine of the vineyard and local products such as cheese, salami, and San Daniele ham).
